This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse with significant cardiology-based clinical practice experience to join the team of Advanced Nurse Practitioners within GJ, based within the Interventional Cardiology service, in the first instance for a fixed term basis of 12 months.
The post holder will be responsible for providing autonomous expert clinical care across the Interventional Cardiology patient pathways, in both inpatient and outpatient settings, ensuring care is evidenced based best practice. Applicants must have achieved and maintained skills in advanced clinical assessment and non-medical prescribing.
The role within interventional Cardiology encompasses the whole patient journey with assessment, treatment planning and discharge planning essential elements of practice across the spectrum of clinical presentation, from emergency care through to elective admission.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and negotiation skills with both internal and external stakeholders as well as the ability to adapt to the diverse and variable demands of caring for patients within the Interventional Cardiology service. As a senior nursing role, it is essential you demonstrate your commitment to supporting the development of the wider nursing team through excellent interpersonal skills and proven experienced of successfully role-modelling your professional abilities with the rest of the nursing team.
You must be able to demonstrate ongoing personal and professional development and show an understanding and commitment to the requirements for safe practice as described within the Advanced Practice Strategy.
The post is currently rostered Mon-Friday between 0715 and 1945 but may be required to extend in the future to 24/7 cover, and the post holder may be required to deliver care and skills within different clinical settings across GJNH.
