Applications are invited for the above posts starting in February 2020, for an initial period of 6 months with the potential to be extended for a further 6 months.
The Golden Jubilee National Hospital Orthopaedic department is one of the largest Arthroplasty units within the UK, with 15 full time orthopaedic Consultants, one of whom has a special interest in foot and ankle surgery.
The department undertakes nearly 4000 primary and revision joint replacements, and over 700 other elective orthopaedic procedures (including knee arthroscopy, hand and foot surgery) per year.
The successful candidates will be exposed to all aspects of modern hip and knee surgery including computer navigated knee replacements and will also be expected to actively participate in audit and research.
Candidates should ideally have completed a basic Orthopaedic Registrar training program and passed the appropriate examinations (MRCS compulsory, FRCS Orth. desirable).
