Applications are invited for the above post as Clinical Teaching Fellow in Cardiology /Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital. We currently have vacancies available from August 2019 for a period of 12 months.
The successful appointee will occupy a pivotal role in the teaching of 4th & 5th year undergraduate medical students in the Cardiovascular Sciences component of the undergraduate curriculum. The role will include assistance with organisation of teaching sessions, delivery of didactic and seminar based teaching and in the assessment of the students.
The successful appointee will be an integral part of the delivery of heart and lung services at the Golden Jubilee National Hospital in Clydebank.
It is anticipated that there will be access to two clinical sessions per week, one procedure based, the other outpatient. It is our intention to support the post-holder through an appropriate University based qualification in Medical Education.
Applicants must have full registration with the General Medical Council. Possession of the MRCS, MRCP or equivalent and experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery and/or Cardiology is desirable.
