As NHS Scotland’s premier elective centre, and home to national and regional heart and lung services, the Golden Jubilee National Hospital, is looking for and enthusiastic and dynamic locum Consultant Anaesthetist to join a rapidly expanding organisation.


Providing anaesthesia for a range of surgical specialities, including orthopaedic surgery, day case plastic and day case general surgery, you will have an important role in helping us lead quality, research and innovation.


By joining a valued multidisciplinary team that carries out over 25% of all hip and knee replacements in Scotland, you will also be dedicated to continuous improvement and enhanced recovery.


As part of the National Elective Centres Programme, this role will give you the opportunity to help shape our new expanded services – benefiting patients across Scotland in a range of key in demand specialties such as orthopaedics.


Within the post, you will carry out agreed clinical sessions in theatre, preoperative assessment clinic and the Acute Pain Service.  Benefiting from our range of NHS work life balance policies, you will be supported and actively involved in learning and development, research, audit and risk management initiatives.


You will hold full GMC registration and be on the Specialist Register or be eligible for admission to the register within six months of the interview date.
